Creative Development - Making a model with glue

Child:
But this is that [unintelligible]
Adult:
Do you think we might have to put some more glue on, to keep it on? Do you think we might need some more glue on?
Child:
[applies more glue]
Adult:
Well done.
Child:
[unintelligible]
Adult:
It does, because what happens when you put glue on, it makes it stick to something else. So, that's why you need glue on, to make the boxes stick together, or if you wanted to stick paper together. 'Cos it's all sticky, if you feel the glue.
Child:
[unintelligible]
Adult:
Right, do you want to put your glue-sticks down and you try to stick it on.
Adult:
… nice and straight.
Child:
It's done!
Adult:
What you might have to do is you might have to hold it for a little while, because it's so big. If you hold it on, and… are you watching? If you hold it on until the glue is a little bit stickier, then it sticks on.
Child:
Let go.
Adult:
There you go!
