Networks - Regional and Core

A regional and core network structure is in place for LM co-ordinators.  Nine regional networks are currently in operation, with the aim of providing peer support to people with responsibility for co-ordinating LM provision across a range of schools or an area.  These networks feed into, and receive support from, a National Core Network, which meets once every term to address national issues and support for the work.  CWDC representation is a regular feature at the Core Network, and the National LM Support Programme Co-ordinator (CWDC), and members of the LM Co-ordinator Peer Support Team, attend regional meetings as often as possible.

More information on the networks will be housed on this page soon, but if you are a co-ordinator we would like to invite you to join your local regional network.  You can begin the process by contacting us at the usual email address (learning.mentors@cwdcouncil.org.uk).  Please give details of where you are based and your contact details and we'll be in touch soon.

LM work has always benefited from peer support - the networks are a clear example of this principle in action.  The current networks operate in the following areas:

North East, Yorkshire and Humberside, North West, Greater Manchester and Lancashire, Midlands, Pan London, South East, South Coast, South West.

North West and Greater Manchester/Lancashire may well be amalgamating soon.
