Getting started - Windows

You will need to download the Interactive Planning Tool by using one of the links below. The EXE version allows you to download the file directly and run it while the ZIP file requires that you extract the EXE file contained in it to allow you to load the planning tool.

STEPS

  1. Download the EXE file. Find out more about downloading files here.
    1. Click on the EXE or ZIP icon or link.
    2. When prompted to Run or Save the file select Save. Do NOT select Run.
    3. Save the file to your Desktop. NOTE: Do NOT change the file name as this will cause errors.
  2. Alternatively Download and extract the EXE file from the ZIP file. You can find out more about ZIP files here.
    1. Click on the ZIP icon or link.
    2. When prompted to Run or Save the file select Save.
    3. Save the file to your Desktop. NOTE: Do NOT change the file name as this will cause errors.
    4. Extract the file to your Desktop
  3. Launch the EXE file.
    1. Navigate to your desktop.
    2. Double-click the Planning Tool icon to load the planning tool on your PC.
  4. Configure Proxy settings
    1. Ensure that the planning tool can connect to the internet. Instructions found in the help section titled Connecting the Interactive Planning Tool to the internet.
  5. NOTE: You need do this only once: thereafter, the tool will be available by clicking on the icon on your desktop. However, when a new version is available you will need to repeat the process outlined above.
