Good planning is worthwhile, especially when it
is a collaborative process that feeds into a department's developing scheme of
work. The main components of a scheme of work will be: a
curriculum map and
teaching calendar, setting out a schedule; and
unit plans, using
clusters of objectives to plan for progress through sequences of learning.
Lesson
plans form short-term plans
which are not usually included in the scheme of work.
