A look at the work of women during WW2 including the building of Waterloo Bridge which is also known as "The Ladies Bridge".

During the second world war more then 25,000 women joined the construction trade to keep Britain moving during the war. Women were expected to do the same amount of work as men, with far less pay. "The Ladies Bridge" was completed by 1945, thanks to the hard work of hundreds of women who were working as welders, builders and labourers at the time.

We hear personal accounts from those women who formed part of the war-time work force.
